Wondering about landscaping? You’re not alone—these are the questions we hear most often. If you don’t see what you’re looking for below, just get touch — we’re here to help.
1. How does the consultation process work? Do I need a consultation?
Consultations are an ideal first step if you are not sure exactly what you're after and want to spend sometime with an expert unpacking your ideas. During your consultation, we will understand your priorities, guide you through the possibilities and help to determine the best next step—whether that’s creating a detailed design or jumping straight into landscaping. You will spend an hour on site with Tim or one of our senior landscapers, following this you will receive a written report of key discussion points and suggested next steps – you can use this like a ‘to do’ list for yourself or have the suggested works put into a free quote. A consultation costs $190 + GST.
2. Do you offer free quotes for landscaping work?
Yes. We offer free site visits and quotes for all landscaping and garden design projects. It’s the first step in helping you bring your ideas to life. Our free quotes are an ideal first step if you know what you want and just want a quote for that specific job. For example, I would like a new hardwood deck that comes out from our living area.

3. Can you help with garden design as well as landscaping?
Absolutely! We offer full design-and-build services, from concept plans to finished landscapes. Whether you need a planting plan, a full redesign, or help with layout ideas, we’ve got you covered.
4. How much does landscaping cost?
Every landscaping project is different, so costs vary depending on the size of the space, the complexity of the work, and the materials involved. Things like access to the site, drainage, waste removal, and the level of detail or craftsmanship all play a role.
As a rough guide, small garden refreshes might start from a few thousand dollars, while full landscape builds (with elements like paving, retaining, decks, or planting plans) can range much higher.
We’re always happy to chat through your ideas and give you a quote based on your space and budget—no pressure, just practical advice to help you plan.

5. What areas do you work in?
We’re based in Nelson, New Zealand, and work across the wider region—including Atawhai, Stoke, Richmond, and in some cases the Tasman district. If you’re nearby, chances are we can help.
6. Do you work with small budgets or smaller jobs?
Yes—we handle a wide range of projects. Whether it’s a simple planting job or a full garden makeover, we’ll tailor a solution that fits your needs and budget.
7. Do you do Commercial landscaping or maintenance?
Yes, we service both residential and commercial clients for landscaping and garden maintenance. Once we know your garden we can suggest a regular schedule of maintenance to keep your business property looking great all year around. We can also landscape the garden to minimise the need for regular maintenance – think paved pathways, well-chosen plants to complement and enhance the environment, and irrigation.
8. How far ahead do I need to book?
Our calendar fills up fast, especially in spring and summer. It’s a good idea to get in touch early, even if you’re just starting to plan—we can help guide the timeline.
9. What types of landscaping do you do?
We offer a full range of services including:
✔ Landscape design
✔ Decking & fencing
✔ Retaining walls
✔ Planting & mulching
✔ Raised beds
✔ Water features such as ponds
✔ Paving & steps
✔ Lawn installation
✔ Full garden redesign & install
✔ Irrigation solutions

10. What happens if the weather delays things?
We always aim to stick to the schedule, but safety and quality come first. If the weather causes delays, we’ll keep you in the loop and adjust timelines as needed.

11. I have a garden and want to improve it—can you work with what I have?
Yes! Whether it’s updating an existing garden, adding new features, or refreshing tired areas, we’ll work with what’s there, understand your priorities and improve the outdoor space to suit your home and lifestyle.
